Whaddya mean, where have I been?

I’ve been absent, haven’t I? I’m fine, if anyone was wondering. I’ve been reading and commenting, I just haven’t been writing. I don’t really know why, except to say that I’ve been taking some mental health time and I feel a lot better for it.

Work is on the up and up, I’ve had some recent training on quality assurance, I might have more training to do with a new programme, and I’m getting a brand new computer. I’m being given lots of responsibility and I thrive on that, it’s what I do. I’m beginning to see how this could be a real career for me long term, which is good. Healthful.At

home, we’re redecorating. The small back bedroom has never been done while we’ve lived there, so we’re redoing that and the landing. There’s no door between the two as it’s so small, just a curtain, so it makes sense to do both at once. There is a doorway (although no actual door) between the landing and the stairs, though, so the stairs can wait a while longer before being painted. The strangeness of the upstairs of our house is baffling - I’d love to know how it looked when there was an outside toilet and a tin bath in front of the fire.

We’re going away at Easter because Himself’s band is playing a gig! In Devon! I can’t wait
