Yesterday I went to a book launch by Simon Armitage. He’s about the only contemporary poet I like, because I’m just not into poetry, but Simon is from where I’m from and he talks about things I know and I like that. He read from his new book (Sir Gerwaine and the Green Knight) and some of his older poems including a really funny one about Luddendenfoot. That’s a real place name. There’s some corkers round here.
Last night Himself rearranged his DVD collection and I wrote in my journal. The cat seems to be settling, she likes to be close to us, likes some attention and then falls asleep somewhere. She woke us up early yesterday morning but later this morning. She was asleep on my feet but that’s okay, I don’t have a problem with that.
Today has also been quiet. It’s good, just resting and relaxing. I don’t think this week is very busy either… But that’ll change ![]()
